Job Description:
Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Evaluates new and existing
business Reviews information submitted by producers and brokers.
Evaluates acceptability of risk. Prepares quotations. Processes
cancellations and non-renewals. Process policies and determines
pricing. Assures proper set-up of information for policy issuance.
Evaluates coverage being provided. Reviews descriptions and assures
accuracy. Determines appropriate pricing. Handles in-force policy
underwriting. Approves endorsement requests from producers.
Approves policy audits. Reviews underwriting information throughout
policy year and approves renewals actions. Performs other related
underwriting duties as required or assigned. Travel in territory as
needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Insurance forms, contracts knowledge Excellent verbal and written
communication skills Qualifications College degree 2 yr. /4 yr.
Insurance industry courses, INS, CPCU, AU 5 years active role in
underwriting
