This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their estimating or construction career who is eager to learn and grow within a well-established company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to develop a strong understanding of MEP and drywall estimating in the commercial construction environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in estimating commercial drywall and related MEP coordination scopes Read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings/plans Prepare quantity takeoffs and budget lists under the guidance of senior estimators Help develop and submit proposals to General Contractors Assist with leveling sheets and bid reviews Support Project Managers with change order pricing as needed Ensure understanding of project specifications, plans, exhibits, and RFIs Participate in site walk-throughs in the NYC Tri-state area, Long Island, Westchester, and NJ Request and organize quotes from vendors and subcontractors Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related field Education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar field is a plus Understanding of commercial construction drawings and terminology (MEP and/or drywall experience a plus) Estimating Software Experience is a must. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; estimating software experience is a plus (Plexxis WinBid preferred but not required) Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Salary: $60,000 starting salary , with growth opportunities based on performance and experience.
