Delaware Valley Job Corps is an education and training center located in beautiful Callicoon, NY. We are a Center which uses student-focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve. With a capacity of 208 students, we strive to achieve excellence for each student across 8 different trades. We are looking for exceptional Classroom Substitute to join our team of professionals. SCHEDULED HOURS: As needed, on-call hours would be worked between 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday ONLY. Substitutes would be called, and scheduled, as needed to maintain continuous educational programming. Substitute SUMMARY: Responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the orientation phase of their Job Corps journey. During this 5 week period of orientation, students are learning and planning their career plans, shadowing trades that they are interested in and testing to determine academic levels. We are looking for a classroom substitute who can effectively manage a class of 5-10 students (varies week to week). During this time, the Substitute will provide high-quality supervision and management of student population. The Substitute will take swift and appropriate action to positively influence student behavior. Qualifications Substitute QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required. A valid NY state teaching certificate is preferred.
