Focused Staffing Group is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic K–8 Art Teachers to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. Job Description: We are seeking a committed and creative K–8 Art Teacher to provide high-quality art instruction to students across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will develop and implement engaging lessons that foster students’ artistic skills, critical thinking, and self-expression. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers and families, supporting student growth, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging art curriculum aligned with state standards. Foster an appreciation for art history, culture, and diverse artistic perspectives. Incorporate various media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment. Collaborate with school staff on student learning goals and interdisciplinary projects. Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives. Encourage students to express creativity while developing technical and conceptual skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred). Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with Art endorsement or eligibility. 3–5 years of experience teaching visual arts preferred. Strong knowledge of art techniques, media, and project-based learning. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and support personnel. Experience managing classroom dynamics across multiple grade levels. Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital learning tools. Successful completion of required criminal history background check.
