Job Description:
CoreWeave is The Essential Cloud for AI™. Built for pioneers by
pioneers, CoreWeave delivers a platform of technology, tools, and
teams that enables innovators to build and scale AI with
confidence. Trusted by leading AI labs, startups, and global
enterprises, CoreWeave combines superior infrastructure performance
with deep technical expertise to accelerate breakthroughs and turn
compute into capability. Founded in 2017, CoreWeave became a
publicly traded company (Nasdaq: CRWV) in March 2025. Learn more at
www.coreweave.com . About the role: CoreWeave is seeking a
Principal Product Manager for Developer Experience to define and
drive the roadmap for our internal developer platforms and delivery
tooling. You will work closely with engineering leaders in Common
Services (Dev X Delivery, Dev X IDP, Cloud Experience,
Observability, Data Services) and partner orgs to understand where
engineers are losing time, translate those pain points into clear
problem statements, and deliver opinionated solutions that scale.
Your focus will be on measurable improvements to developer
productivity and software delivery outcomes, not feature
checklists. You will spend your time deeply embedded with
engineering teams: mapping workflows from code to production,
identifying friction, defining metrics, and collaborating on
designs that make the “right way” the easy way. You’ll own
prioritization across competing stakeholders, communicating
tradeoffs and long-term bets while still delivering incremental
value along the way. In this role, you will: Own the product
vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal developer experience
platforms (e.g., CI/CD, internal developer platform, delivery
tooling, golden paths). Partner with the broader Product team on
product prioritizations, broad product strategy, and shared goals.
Partner with engineering leads in Common Services, IaaS, Security,
and Customer Experience to identify and prioritize high-value
problems across the software delivery lifecycle. Run structured
discovery with internal “customers” (engineers, managers, SREs,
TPMs) to understand workflows, constraints, and recurring pain
points. Define clear problem statements, success metrics, and
hypotheses for DevX initiatives (e.g., lead time for change,
deployment frequency, MTTR, onboarding time). Write concise,
technically rigorous PRDs and collaborate on design docs that align
DevX, platform, and security requirements. Manage and prioritize
backlogs across multiple teams, balancing foundational platform
investments with near-term developer pain and
compliance/operational needs. Partner with engineering to plan
increments, sequence rollout, and ensure we ship changes that are
observable, operable, and reversible. Drive adoption of DevX
tooling through documentation, enablement sessions, and feedback
loops; treat communication and change management as part of the
product. Instrument and review usage analytics, satisfaction
surveys, and delivery metrics to assess impact and guide iteration.
Champion a “platform as a product” mindset: opinionated defaults,
self-service where possible, and strong API / UX contracts for
internal customers. Who You Are: 5 years of experience in product
management for developer platforms, internal tooling,
infrastructure, or closely related technical products or equivalent
experience as an engineering manager / tech lead / staff engineer
working deeply with CI/CD, internal platforms, and developer
productivity. Proven ability to translate ambiguous engineering
pain into structured problem statements, requirements, and
prioritized roadmaps. Demonstrated experience owning roadmaps for
internal developer or platform products and delivering measurable
improvements to developer workflows (e.g., reduced lead time,
increased deployment frequency, improved onboarding time). Strong
technical fluency with modern software delivery stacks (CI/CD
pipelines, version control, artifact management, observability,
configuration management, infrastructure-as-code). Experience
working with and designing APIs and backend services (REST/gRPC),
and an understanding of how developer interfaces (CLI, SDKs, IaC,
consoles) fit together. Hands-on experience collaborating with
engineering teams that use Kubernetes or other orchestrators,
microservices, and cloud-native architectures. Comfort using data
and metrics to prioritize work, make tradeoffs, and evaluate
outcomes. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across
multiple teams or orgs, including driving alignment,
decision-making, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the
ability to communicate clearly with highly technical stakeholders
and distill complex concepts into concise narratives. Wondering if
you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value
candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our
teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here
are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some
of this describes you, we’d love to talk. You love making other
engineers’ lives better and can point to specific systems or tools
you’ve improved for them. You’re curious about how code really gets
to production—tooling, process, and culture—and enjoy untangling
that complexity. You’re an expert in spotting friction in
workflows, then designing pragmatic, incremental changes that
stick. Why CoreWeave? At CoreWeave, we work hard, have fun, and
