Elevate your career by steering multi-faceted tech programs, integrating innovative solutions for a dynamic impact across global operations.As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking's FX Services unit, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and being a driver of innovation and solution delivery.FX Services provides FX pricing and execution capabilities to internal JP Morgan business lines, namely - Securities Services, Treasury Services, Commercial Bank, Private Bank, Consumer & Business Banking, and Merchant Services, a subset of Securities Services clients, and external online merchants. FX activity typically relates to international payment processing, custody investment-related settlement, and systemic hedging of currency risk for most client types.Job responsibilities

• Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• Design modern technology solutions in collaboration with architects, product owners, and software engineers.
• Identify, design, and promote adoption of modern technology frameworks.
• Make decisions influencing teams' resources, budgets, operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and oversee their implementation from concept to completion.
• Adhere to architecture standards, risk management, and security policies.
• Maintain governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and success metrics such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
• Deliver technical solutions that are scalable across multiple businesses and domains.
• Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
• Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience; additionally, 5+ years leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
• Expertise in Java and direct experience building cloud applications using Kubernetes, Kafka, API Gateways.
• Experience in building data platforms with a focus on data streamlining and architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of software development and technical processes, with expertise in disciplines such as cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
• Functional knowledge in FX.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
• Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Experience working at the code level.
• Certified in Public Cloud (preferably AWS Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional).
• Experience building applications utilizing Kubernetes native features.
