Job Description:
Shift: Varies between the hours M-F 2:30pm-8pm and Saturday
8a-4pm Description: Understands and adheres to the client
Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors. Conducts color flow
Doppler Echos following established protocols. Conducts Stress
Echos according to established protocols. Assists Cardiologist in
the TEE procedure. Submits echocardiograms at the highest quality
possible within the appropriate time span. Identifies and conducts
Echos without delegation. Identifies and conducts other
Non-Invasive testing without delegation, such as EKG and Holter
monitoring. Must be proficient in the use of all other medical
equipment such as EKG and EEG machines. Must be proficient in the
use of office equipment such as copy machines, fax machines, and
computers. Recognizes and reports equipment malfunctions. Maintains
safety standards at all times and follows infection control
guidelines. Performs routine office tasks, such as answering
phones, checking in patients, obtaining previous reports/films, or
other related duties as needed. Participates in the performance
improvement program. Demonstrates the ability to work and
communicate with all members of the practice team. Conducts other
non-invasive procedures. Recognizes abnormal echo findings and
communicates any life-threatening situations to the appropriate
personnel. Ability to interact with neonates through the geriatric
population. Provides coverage rotation to other outpatient offsite
locations. Duties and hours may change according to the needs of
the offsite practices. May be required to work holidays, overtime,
and/or day, evening, and overnight shifts to help maintain adequate
and safe coverage for the outpatient facility. Performs all other
related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program.
Registered cardiac ultrasound technologist preferred (ARDMS or CCI
certification). Two years of experience conducting echocardiograms.
Experience in other non-invasive procedures. Successful completion
of the orientation program according to department guidelines.
