Pennsauken, NJ. POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
is a strategic leader and champion of The BAYADA Way, uniting
clinical and support teams through an enterprise-wide shared
governance framework to uphold exceptional, client-centered care.
Operating in a highly matrixed environment, the CNO collaborates
with practice leaders, business partners, and structures like the
Clinical Council, dyads, and triads to ensure BAYADA’s highest
standards of safety, quality, and innovation across all service
lines. This role is responsible for partnering with the Enterprise
Management Committee, driving high performance improvement,
high-reliability practices, and advancements in safety, infection
prevention, and client experience. The CNO leads the Quality,
Performance Improvement, and Client Experience teams. Serving as a
trusted internal consultant to executive, practice, and functional
leaders, the CNO nurtures inclusivity, lifelong growth, and
empowerment—modeling transformational leadership that inspires
teams to innovate, embrace best practices, and further BAYADA’s
heartfelt mission for exceptional home-based care. MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way:
compassion, excellence and reliability. MSN required; Doctorate
Level (DNP or PhD) preferred. Ten (10) years of nursing leadership
with responsibility for performance improvement enterprise-wide
strategy. Home Health care experience preferred. Highly analytical,
motivated, decisive thought leader. Strategic mindset with an
ability to think broadly, refine questions, High level of accuracy,
attention to detail, with strong analytic and project management
skillset. Strong program management and organizational skills, with
experience supporting strategic projects working across multiple
stakeholder groups. Executive level financial and business acumen.
Effective in identifying and driving care delivery business
enhancements to maximize value and objectives. Demonstrated
effectiveness at a senior level in planning, leading, organizing,
and directing staff, teams, and projects in multiple locations
while simultaneously serving multiple stakeholders. High emotional
intelligence and communication (verbal and written) skills that
educate and influence. Highly experienced with styles of
authority/decision making including influential, consensus building
and line authority. Skilled in the development of executive-level
presentations and facilitation of meetings with senior leaders to
appropriately communicate thought processes, gather feedback, and
drive towards the outcomes. Experience driving business process
improvements that establish a data-based business value (i.e.,
adherence to Lean/Six Sigma) Strong leadership ability. Able to
influence and energize others to drive change. Ability to lead
highly- performing and engaged teams. Strong capability to work
collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners,
vendors. Ability to adapt communication and management style to
achieve overall collaboration. Self-starter, highly proactive, and
collaborative. Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate and communicate the core
values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way . Develop working knowledge of
BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and
procedures. Foster clinical enterprise that leverages practice
clinical and support leaders to establish clinical standards.
Provide guidance and counsel of triad (practice president, practice
clinical leader and CNO) to drive strategic direction of president
and continually improve clinical care to clients served. Drive the
continuous journey resulting in measurable improvement clinical
excellence including clinical indicators (falls, CAUTI, CLABSI)
client satisfaction and employee engagement. Lead annual enterprise
clinical strategic planning process, including collaboration with
multiple stakeholders from the Quality & Safety Committee of the
Board and Functional leadership. Support annual practice and
functional clinical strategic planning process. Lead annual
assessment of external benchmarks of clinical quality and client
experience to identify potential improvement activities and annual
goals to drive organization to top quartile performance over the
next 3-5 years. Lead enterprise-wide Infection Prevention Program
including tracking, reporting and analysis of infections to
minimize the risk of development and transmission of infections
among clients and staff. Provide critical thinking and influence by
linking the company’s strategic agenda to the resulting execution
plan through leadership of the enterprise clinical program,
managing the overall coordination. Provide guidance and counsel of
key enterprise leaders to drive best in class professional
development processes including clinical programs, clinical ladder,
role structures to promote increasing skill sets and driving
retention. Systematic development, review, and enforcement of
cohesive clinical policies, protocols, and best practices across
decentralized services and regions. Set organizational vision and
build the tools to enable an organization-wide approach to safety
culture; drive process standardization and best practices of high
reliability through organization-wide initiatives. Work with
functional and/or practice leaders to establish performance
metrics. Lead large cross-functional change programs and provide
subject matter expertise and industry best practices related to
business transformations, providing direction to multi-disciplinary
project teams, regarding lean, six-sigma, and change management.
Effectively manages multiple internal and external partner
relationships and works effectively to produce high-quality
systemic results. Serve as the executive sponsor for large-scale
clinical transformation, including adoption of new models,
practices, or technology. Apply formal change management
methodologies to maximize engagement, sustainment, and measurable
results. Measure and communicate the impact of transformational
initiatives across the enterprise. Develops staff to achieve best
in class performance and maximizes organizational value creation.
Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in
key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance
Appraisal for Office Staff. Perform related duties, or as required
or requested by Chief Clinical Officer. BAYADA believes that our
