Location: The Foote School, 50 Loomis Place, New Haven, CT Job
Type: Seasonal, 8:00-3:30pm Job Description: We are seeking a
qualified and experienced Nurse to join our team at The Foote
School and Horizons at Foote for the upcoming summer season. The
Summer Camp Nurse will be responsible for providing first aid and
medical care to campers and staff, as well as managing the camp's
health center and medications. The Nurse will work closely with the
Camp Director and other staff members to ensure the health and
safety of all campers. Responsibilities: Provide first aid and
medical care to campers and staff as needed Conduct health
screenings upon campers' arrival and monitor their health
throughout their stay Manage and administer medications to campers
as prescribed Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records for all
campers and staff Work closely with the Camp Director and other
staff members to implement health and safety protocols Communicate
with parents and guardians regarding their camper's health and
well-being Collaborate with local healthcare providers and
emergency services as needed Maintain a clean and organized health
center Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN) certification Previous experience working in
a camp or summer camp setting preferred Strong clinical skills and
ability to provide quality medical care to children and adolescents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work
well in a team setting and collaborate with others Current CPR and
First Aid certifications Knowledge of common camp-related injuries
and illnesses Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic
environment This is a seasonal position beginning on June 15 to
August 28, 2026, with a two week break from August 3-August 14. If
