3p-11p Pay Information Base Rate: $18.70/hour Weekend Rate:
$19.70/hour Job Overview Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of
Apis Services , is seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead
Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at the Hopewell
Group Home in Pennington, NJ , supporting adults with intellectual
disabilities. As a Lead DSP, you will work closely with Group Home
Managers to ensure high-quality care, compliance with standards,
and smooth communication with guardians, healthcare providers, and
community agencies. Our Mission To achieve full societal
participation for all people with disabilities. Responsibilities
Lead DSPs provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to
residents and DSP staff while supporting the daily operations of
the group home. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with Group
Home Managers to ensure all aspects of care meet program standards
Communicate effectively with guardians, doctors, and community
agencies Provide direct care and support to residents, including:
Daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene) Health and
wellness (personal medical care, healthy living) Community
participation (shopping, recreation, outings) Social and emotional
development (coping skills, communication, friendships) Budgeting
and money management Mentor and provide guidance to DSP staff
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies and
procedures Promote independence, dignity, and autonomy for
residents Qualifications 21 years or older High School Diploma or
GED Valid driver’s license 3 years experience as a DSP with
behavioral clients 1 year of lead/supervisory experience preferred
Ability to successfully complete: State and Federal criminal
background checks Drug screening Pre-employment physical and PPD
Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service
