Job Description Anesthesiology Opening in Poughkeepsie, NY General, ortho, neuro, vascular, ENY, thoracic, GYN, hearts (no transplants). No peds except for ENY/MRI and Dental, with small case load Supportive leadership Collaborative care-team model Flexible options, work/life balance Resident program* 350-bed facility. 294 private patient rooms, 30-room intensive care unit, network of 23 surgical suites, and 66 exam and treatment rooms in the emergency and trauma center. Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition* Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Compensation Details General Call-taking Anesthesiologist: $550K with 8 weeks of PTO Night Float Anesthesiologist: $575K; No PTO: 7 days a week with 26 weeks on/off schedule Per-Diem Anesthesiologist: $250/hour 1099 Anesthesiologist: $275/hour Total Rewards: Sign-on package with retention Training Assistance or Loan Repayment options Relocation Bonus Benefits Package including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Profit sharing Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities
