Job Description:
At Headway, we are dedicated to reimaging mental health services
by enhancing accessibility and simplifying the process of
connecting patients to the right mental health professionals. We
are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse,
Psychiatric Care (LPNP) to join our growing team. In this role, you
will provide direct nursing care to patients suffering from various
mental health conditions, work closely with psychiatrists, and
ensure our patients receive the best possible care through our
innovative service models. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed by psychiatrists and track patients' conditions. Monitor
patient health status and response to treatment, adjusting nursing
care plans as necessary. Assist psychiatrists during therapy
sessions and manage patient records utilizing our healthcare
databases. Provide emotional support to patients suffering from
mental health conditions. Educate patients and their families on
treatments and mental health wellness strategies. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care delivery.
Strong clinical skills in psychiatric care settings. Excellent
ability to communicate and empathize with patients. Proficiency in
using healthcare databases and patient management software.
Thorough understanding of psychiatric medications and side effects.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Valid Practical
Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state. Preferred:
Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHN).
