Job Description:
Headway, a pioneer in mental health service provision, seeks a
compassionate and skilled Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
to join our dedicated team. In line with our mission to make mental
health services more accessible, we connect patients with mental
health professionals and facilitate insurance-based access. This
role involves utilizing advanced nursing and psychiatric skills to
diagnose, treat, and help manage the mental health of our patients,
ensuring they receive holistic, tailored care. Conduct initial
patient evaluations and provide ongoing treatment. Prescribe
medication and monitor its effectiveness. Provide crisis
intervention services when necessary. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient mental health
care. Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families to
better understand their conditions. Maintain timely and accurate
patient records. Stay updated with advancements in mental health
and psychiatric nursing. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills. In-depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment
techniques. Ability to prescribe and manage psychotropic
medications. Crisis intervention skills. Proficiency in using
healthcare software and electronic health records. Medical

Valid state license as a Nurse Practitioner. Board certification in
Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP-BC).
