Job Description:

The Psychiatrist will provide compassionate, patient centered psychiatric care within a structured correctional healthcare environment, serving an incarcerated population with complex behavioral health needs. Working primarily in an outpatient setting at South Woods State Prison, this role involves comprehensive evaluations, medication management, and close collaboration with medical, mental health, and custody staff while adhering to Department of Corrections safety protocols. Although the setting is secure, the heart of the work is deeply human meeting patients with dignity, respect, and clinical excellence, even when encounters occur in challenging environments.
