Job Description Location Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Summary The
Director of Fundraising provides strategic direction, governance
oversight, and institutional leadership for all fundraising
activities across KFSHRC and Wareef Charity. The position ensures
that all fundraising efforts are strategically aligned with
KFSHRC’s institutional priorities, ethically governed, and
financially transparent. As a key member of KFSHRC’s leadership
team, the Head of Fundraising drives sustainable revenue growth,
builds high-trust donor relationships, and oversees the operational
integration of five core fundraising subfunctions: 1. Fundraising
Strategic Planning 2. Donor Relations & Experience 3. Donor
Analytics & Reporting 4. Endowment Management 5. Compliance & Risk
Management The role also serves as a member of the Fundraising
Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, Financial and Compliance
Oversight Committee and Endowment Committee, ensuring institutional
alignment, governance integrity, and donor accountability.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Lead the strategic planning
and implementation of KFSHRC’s overall fundraising strategy,
ensuring alignment with institutional mission, priorities, and
impact areas. Oversee all sub-functions under the fundraising
function to ensure synergy between strategic planning, donor
relations and Experience, Donor Analytics & Reporting, Endowment
Management, and Compliance & Risk Management. Serve as the primary
liaison with Wareef Charity leadership, guiding donor audience
segmentation, program direction, and event strategy to ensure
alignment with KFSHRC’s broader fundraising objectives. Represent
KFSHRC’s fundraising vision to internal and external stakeholders,
including ministries, foundations, and high-net-worth donors. Build
and maintain high-level relationships with major donors,
philanthropic organizations, and regulatory entities. Serve as a
visible ambassador for KFSHRC’s fundraising mission, fostering
public confidence and institutional credibility. Oversee fund
allocation, budgeting, and performance tracking across all donor
channels and endowment activities. Provide governance assurance to
ensure compliance with Saudi fundraising laws, Zakat regulations,
and internal audit requirements. Promote financial integrity and
accountability across all fundraising initiatives and partnerships.
Oversee all fundraising programs, service offerings, and calendars
are aligned with institutional and national objectives. Oversee
donor lifecycle management, donor relations, recognition
frameworks, and donor experience design. Oversee the implementation
and management of CRM systems to ensure accurate capture and
effective utilization of donor information, including donor
segmentation and integrated reporting capabilities. Establish
endowment governance frameworks and bylaws, including both internal
and external stakeholders, feasibility and risk studies for
endowments, and investment strategies to ensure sustainable
returns. Oversee compliance with fundraising regulations, ethical
standards, and institutional risk frameworks. Serve as a member of
key governance committees, contributing to strategic planning,
performance oversight, and compliance monitoring to ensure
alignment with institutional goals, integrity in governance, and
accountability to stakeholders. Submit periodic performance and
impact reports to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and oversight
committees. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
Participates in self and others' education, training and
development, as applicable. Performs other related duties as
assigned. Education Master’s degree in Business Administration,
Philanthropy, Public Administration, Healthcare Management or
related field. PhD or M.D. preferred or equivalent advanced
leadership education (e.g., executive management certification).
Experience Required Minimum 15 years of experience in fundraising,
philanthropy, or institutional development, with at least 7 years
in a senior leadership role. Proven success in leading fundraising
functions preferably within Academic Medical Centers (AMCs),
healthcare institutions, academic or research organizations.
Experience working with boards, committees, and complex stakeholder
environments. Demonstrated experience managing major capital
campaigns of at least SAR 50 million (including communications &
public relations experience in the nonprofit sector) Strong track
record in establishing a performance and proactively led corporate
culture. Experience applying design thinking techniques to
fundraising strategy and execution. Strong knowledge of Saudi
Arabia’s fundraising landscape, including market and cultural
dynamics, and regulatory environment. Familiarity with data-driven
fundraising methodologies, including use of CRM systems (e.g.,
Salesforce).
