experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term
contract basis. Based in New York, New York, this position plays a
crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring the
accuracy of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring
expertise in financial reporting, bookkeeping oversight, and
operational accounting to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain an organized chart of
accounts tailored to the company’s needs. • Create precise
forecasting, budgeting, and seasonal revenue models to align with
business goals. • Prepare detailed financial reports to assist
leadership in strategic planning initiatives. • Monitor and
allocate expenses appropriately while managing receivables and
payables. • Supervise and evaluate the work of offshore bookkeepers
to uphold accuracy and efficiency. • Verify financial entries,
match expenses, and ensure consistency across revenue and expense
cycles. • Manage all expense-related accounting functions, ensuring
proper documentation and tracking. • Oversee check runs,
remittances, and expense allocations to maintain operational
efficiency. • Track outstanding receivables and payables, providing
visibility into cash flow and financial obligations. • Provide
clear answers to key financial questions, including company
liabilities, receivables, and current expenses.• Proven experience
with month-end close processes and procedures. • Strong knowledge
of general ledger maintenance and management. • Expertise in
preparing and reviewing journal entries. • Proficiency in account
reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Skilled in
performing bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions. •
Ability to oversee and validate bookkeeping operations. •
Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting techniques. • Excellent
analytical and organizational skills to handle complex financial
data.
